We see it in the grocery store and in the cost of our ingredients, gas prices, rent.... etc. When will things get back to "normal"? The future is uncertain and some of these changes are here to stay. To be completely transparent, despite my diligent efforts, I have been losing money consistently this last year and it has reached a point where I need to make an increase in prices that reflects my rising costs. It is not something that I want to do but must in order to keep from going out of business. Herbs are my passion and it is my passion to bring you the very BEST handmade, unique and delicious herbal teas. It brings me tremendous JOY to share such special, healthy products to the community. I hope you will choose to continue to support Earth's Herbal, a local business that refuses to cut corners. I am committed to providing quality medicines, salves and teas to my customers. I have been planting seeds and weeding the herb garden like crazy. This is Deer Hill Farm's 4th spring season and there is so much work to be done. There are 6 new garden beds!! Soon the herb garden will be ready for classes and herbal medicine making workshops. Spring has sprung! Have you been complaining about our Victoria rain? I know, me too.... but let's take a moment to say "thank you" to our very rainy spring for this lovely abundance of Spring greenery that it brings. Herbs like red clover, lemon balm, chickweed, dandelion and stinging nettles will be popping up all around us to offer an array of healthy edible spring greens. My nettles are already up and ready for harvest. The genius of nature doesn't stop there! Mother Nature also helps us out in the medicinal kitchen as it just so happens that these are all, nourishing herbs that our bodies need during the change of the season. Other good news, they are growing all around you! SPRING ALLERGIES Just as allergy season starts, Stinging Nettles pops up all around to rescue you! Nettles help reduce inflammation and immune boosting properties. Nettles are also high in nutrients and a great superfood. When used topically, it is great for eczema as psoriasis. |
